LA LIGA creates an experimental circle, a playfullness around the theatrical activity and its elastic relationship to other arts. It stretches rigid notions unscrupulously, while firmly gripping to live action, humor, matter and the audience. On stage, actors, objects, artifacts and unconventional puppets mold and stretch space and action, presenting, representing, narrating and trigerring, always in the present tense. For LA LIGA the audience’s imagination –adults and children alike- is a delicate elastic that liberates others; stretching it is a subtle task, that is why its members trust in the surprising and liberating effect produced by seeing the common and everyday as if for the first time, thus making it possible to play with them as if they were something entirely new, again and again and again.
